All right. Hello everyone, it's Anna. Thanks for joining me on my channel again

Well today I am here to tell you about my love for these guys
0:10
And these guys are little sweet potatoes. You love them or you hate them
0:15
And I didn't join this bandwagon until probably about a year ago. You hear about all these people
0:21
meal-prepping sweet potatoes and you're like, what is a sweet potato? What's the difference between that and a yam
0:26
Is it different than a regular potato? Why is it so good for you
0:30
Well, a sweet potato is different than a regular potato as you can see and it's different than a yam
0:36
It's got this very nice orange color and if you haven't had it, it is sweet
0:42
So it comes out and it's almost got like this marshmallow-y type
0:47
taste to me and I like it almost as a dessert. And there's a couple different ways you can prep it
0:54
I like it as like a dessert, like a sweet type potato or you can prep it as more of like a savory, you know, salty peppery type thing
1:04
But sweet potatoes are just a little more tricky just because the amount of time it does take
1:10
They take quite a long time. So if you want to prep them, you need to prep them way in advance for your recipes
1:16
So if I'm meal prepping, this is one of the first things that I do start is the sweet potatoes because they take at
1:22
least 40 to 45 minutes in the oven and that's at least they might need to take even longer
1:29
So what you're gonna want to do is first preheat your oven to 400 degrees and then while you're doing that
1:35
you can peel your sweet potatoes. So peel them all and then cut off the ends
1:41
So there's no like nasty ends on there. And then what I like to do is I coat my pan with olive oil and
1:50
then you take your sweet potatoes and I like to drizzle them with olive oil as well
1:59
Kind of get some a little crispy in the oven just a little bit on each and that'll kind of go away eventually
2:07
And what I like some cinnamon on top because I just love
2:13
sweet sweet potatoes. And I'm weird like that. I even like them with savory dishes too, even though they've got some cinnamon in them
2:21
And I am gonna put these in the oven like I said, it's already preheated to 400 degrees
2:28
And then set the timer for 40 minutes and meanwhile you can multitask and prep start prepping your other
2:38
items and sweet potatoes pretty much go with anything. So I like to make I do mainly a vegetarian
2:44
I don't eat red meat or chicken or poultry or anything like that
2:49
I will eat fish and eggs, but I like to make sweet potatoes for
2:56
like my savory dishes. So I put like quinoa and sweet potatoes and salads and then my dish I'll do like curry
3:04
sweet potatoes in the curry. So if you'd like to watch me make those kinds of meals and more and I talk about a lot of fitness
